Who we are

A home away from home for the Igbo community

Founded over fifteen years ago by Igbo families who settled in the North East, NINEE exists to keep the spirit, language, values, and enterprise tradition of the Igbo people alive β€” and to ensure that spirit is passed on to every generation born or raised in this region.

Our three pillars of community life

Everything NINEE does is built around strengthening the Igbo community β€” culturally, socially, and in wellbeing.

πŸͺ˜
Heritage & Culture
The annual Igbo Day / Iri Ji Cultural Festival, Igbo Supper Club, and a growing library of language, cultural, and historical resources.
🀝
Community & Wellbeing
Wellbeing days for men and women, family events, children’s activities, and the NINEE General Meetings that hold our community together.
🌍
Inclusion & Integration
Building bridges with the wider North East through cultural exchange, partnerships, and shared celebration of Igbo identity.
An Igbo proverb
“Onye wetara oji wetara ndα»₯” β€” He who brings kola brings life. Community is the foundation of everything we do.
